A Personal Account of Liberty of the Seas

On 23 April members of Cumbria Cruises staff were invited onto the stunning Liberty of the Seas for her inaugral night in Southampton. Here is a personal account of that visit from Tim, cruise consultant in our Voyagers Department.

"A day on Royal Caribbean's newest ship, Liberty of the Seas simply isn't long enough to check out all the attractions!

Every deck on this magnificent ship has features to excite and delight - from the FlowRider surf park and rock climbing wall on the top deck, 200 feet above the waves to the Ice Skating rink placed deep inside the ship near the superb theatre.

The ship features a fabulous Royal Promenade - a plaza as long as two football pitches and four decks high, offering a selection of entertainment, dining and shopping opportunities.

There is a bewildering choice of dining options so there can be no excuse for being hungry! Perhaps it is just as well that the ship has one of the largest fitness centres and longest jogging tracks afloat! Royal Caribbean really seem to have thought of everything.

My personal favourite was the excellent Cafe Promenade coffee shop on the Royal Promanade - a great place to relax at any time of the day and watch the world go by with a superb selection of coffees.

Being invited to sample the ship was a real treat - I can't wait until the next time on Liberty of the Seas."
